Scheme of work for 2nd term, Mathematics S.S.S one

Wk 1- Revision of 1st term's work.
Wk 2- Quadratic equation by factorization and completing the square.
Wk 3- General form of a quadratic equation leading to formular method.
Wk 4- Solutions of quadratic equation by graphical methods, line of symmetry.
Wk 5- Idea of sets.
Wk 6- Complements of sets, Venn diagrams, etc.
Wk 7- Review of first half term's work and periodic test.
Wk 8- Circles-length of an arc, perimeter of a sector, area of sectors and segments, area of triangles.
Wk 9- Trigonometric ratios, sine, cosine and tangent of acute angles, use of tables of trigonometric ratios, graph of sine and cosine for angles between 0 degree and 360 degrees.
Wk 10- Application of trigonometric ratios to right-angled triangles; angles of elevation and depression; bearing and distances.
Wk 11- Logic.
Wk 12 & 13- Revision and Examination.
